About Evelyn

Evelyn Taylor is a Board-Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife with a passion for women's health, birth choice, trauma-informed care, and the empowerment of patients through education. Evelyn earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Utica College of Nursing, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian. Soon after, Evelyn began her Masters in Nursing program at Georgetown University, where she earned dual licensure as a WHNP and a CNM. Previous to becoming a nurse, Evelyn was in the birth world as a Doula. She is an advocate for birth choice and believes that all birth is beautiful birth. While attaining her Master's Degree, Evelyn was the Director of Nursing for an addiction treatment center, where she gained insight and understanding of mental health needs. Evelyn brings her expertise in mental health nursing to the OB world when needed, and is passionate about the health of the whole person- mind, body, and soul.

When not working, Evelyn enjoys crocheting and making gifts for people. She sings and dabbles with piano and guitar, playing occasional gigs with a band called the Coffee Hounds. Evelyn used to be a yoga teacher and now enjoys partaking in yoga classes with friends. She loves going to movies and to the beach. She comes from a very big family in Ohio and believes that family is everything. Most of all, Evelyn enjoys spending time with her boys... her husband, her son, and her Italian greyhound named Disco Biscuit.

As she believes that family is everything, Evelyn believes that the Orange Blossom Community is like a family, and she is excited to deliver the best care possible to women of all ages, pregnant or not, who come in to see her.
